Torque Ripple Minimization Control Strategy in Synchronous Reluctance Machines

Torque smoothness is an essential requirement for high-performance motor drive applications. Synchronous reluctance machines (SyRM) have high torque ripple due to non-linear magnetic circuit and saturation. Typically, in Permanent magnet the active compensation achieved by injecting a compensating current q-axis. For SyRM, injection method cancellation can be used both d-axis However, saturation of parameters with changing result varied performance between two methods. This paper evaluates effectiveness these methods cancellation. evaluation, impact parameter on q-axis studied. The mathematical conclusions obtained are evaluated simulation experimental results performed 4 pole 1200W machine.
